The above is the low points System.
I have adjusted the scores for boats that did not compete(DNC) to 2 plus the number of boats racng in any particular race ,
per the recommendation of John Todd. This results in less of a penelty when you miss a race
The above scores are adjusted for credit as committee boat duty but could change as the series progresses depending on participation.
At the end of the series a participant can discard 25% of their races except for a DSQ, per Club guidelines.
This scoring system for DNC could be adjusted by the regatta committee or the KBSC Board, since we had several boats that raced only 2 or three races.
Although a boat that only raced 2 races is still considered as an entry in the series and thus has to be given a score for each race in the series.
